A look back...and forward

This past summer has been one of the most invigorating and educational I have ever experienced. I would now like to put forth a little test as I look forward to creating More weddings in the future. I am looking for input from brides of the past or brides of the future.

To the brides of the future:

It seems that this past season has brought blues and lavenders back onto the Wedding Palette and I am wondering where your wedding colors are leading you? Are you looking for inspiration in more personal places than Bridal Magazines? and just as a side note, think which would be harder to sacrifice, A much loved Flower choice, or a much needed Color Choice?

To the Brides of the past:
What Memories do you hold onto from your event to this very day? Would you have done anything different in your selecting your Color palette or choices of flowers? What words of advice would you offer your friends in planning their design and decor choices?

These questions are reflective, but not necessarily rhetorical. As a trusted vendor who relishes in joy of bringing weddings to life, these are the questions that can personalize and customize your wedding, making it even that much more special.

So before you spend ALL of your hard earned cash on many magazines, helpful as they can be. Look around your room or your house for what appeals to you in your everyday life. Selections of your favorite music also can help you create inspiration for your wedding.

For the "Do-It-Yourself" Bride

We are so excited by the tastes and fresh new ideas that we are working on with our brides this year. One thing that has become so clear in the many years I have been doing this, is that brides are becoming more and more educated about flowers and color schemes. I am so thankful for the internet and it's vast array of different sources.

But, it also can carry with it a wide array of misinformation. So be careful when believing everything you read on the internet about availability and cost of certain flowers. There are reputable sites to check out that will give you the most current information without the building up of false hopes of a specific flower on a specific day.

I always recommend that bride's take advantage of professional services whenever possible. But, I also realize that in these economical times, a lot more of you are trying to "Do-It-Yourself".

We offer a free ONE HOUR consultation to brides who call in to make an appointment. There truly is NO OBLIGATION. we are happy to help you with our professional knowledge on what is available when and even (to certain lengths) the cost as well.

For a small Designer's Fee, it would be our pleasure to create a design and help you pull together the best options to "Do-It-Yourself" event.

So Please check out the Full galleries on www.saxromney.com and give us a call.

A little bit of professional information, can save the "Do-It- Yourselfer" a lot of stress during an already stressful time and ,Who Knows, you may just realize that hiring a respected professional will not be too expensive after all!

Something old is new again....

We have gone through a change here at Sax-Romney. Our dear Maria, (designer extraordinaire) has moved on. We are so thankful for the burst of energy she brought into the studio and we were certainly blessed to have her creativity and drive on our team.

Her departure has opened the door for our dearest holly to rejoin the creative team at Sax-Romney. Holly has worked for us on and off for the better part of the last 5 years, and she is responsible for many of the wonderful designs and elements that grace the beauty of our website.

She ran her own bridal flower business before joining the team, and left us when the birth of her first son, (the Handsome Atticus) was imminent.

Needless to say, the creativity and perfection will not miss a beat and with a renewed sense of appreciation, we all move forward to make every arrangement, be it for Mother's Day or your Wedding, an individual work of art.

Peony Peonies Madness

Even though the sky is continuing winter, here at the shop, we are done with winter already! So to cheer up all of our summer brides we are focusing on the quintessential wedding flower that Martha Stewart made famous in this generation.

Peonies! These flowers are gorgeous, possibly even more so because they are only available for such a short time in the summer. They come in whites, pinks, reds and yellows and probably even more as cultivation of them grows.

We are absolutely in love with all things peony. This flower can't be anything but gorgeous and it lends it's romantic lush beauty to all things. Our stunning brides that have chosen this as a wedding flower have never been disappointed with all the show that these flowers bring to their day.

So here is some eye candy and let's see if we can convert some more to our insanity over this gift of nature.
