Winter Wedding Season!

Halloween is at the end of this month and then right around the corner is the Winter Wedding Season! Planning for a winter wedding in advance will allow you to develop
your sense of the style of the event.  Some of the delicious new color pairings for winter are shown below in inspiration boards.

This palette uses  Creamy Whites and Bright Whites accented with touches of Silver and Dark Gray.

This inspiration board was compiled to show the general feel of the event that the bride is wanting. We love inspiration boards because we get a real sense of the bride and her style from it. Having a compilation of pictures, fabrics and even smells will help provide the direction for vendors to bring your dream day come true.  This first board shows a clean, sophisticated bride with an eye for subtleties and tones and some soft floral mixtures in monochromatic color.

When you are trying to nail down your wedding colors you might want to compile an inspiration board of your own.  Think of the things you love about the season, about the types of food you would want at your wedding, places that you like to be in winter. Find pictures that embody the feeling that you want at your wedding.

You might find you are drawn to the rich, warm tones of
winter festivities, or you are excited by a modern chic approach with clean lines and light tones of blue and silver.

Just a couple more inspiration boards for a winter wedding:

Winter Wonderland
Earthy and Organic

Rich Jewel Tones

Luxurious Purples

Tastefully Entertaining

So go ahead and put together an inspiration board of your own! You will be amazed how quickly your dream wedding will come together!

Portland Wedding

Our designer Maria had to pack up and head out of town to attend her sister-in-law's wedding in Oregon City.  The wedding was an all-out old-fashion backwoods hoedown! Of course Maria did the flowers, so here are some of the pictures we have back from her Portland adventure.

Karen, my sister-in-law, is a really easy going girl who just wanted to have a great party for all the family flying in from across the U.S.  The wedding was on a plot of land that has been in her fiance's family for generations. But their wedding was the first to ever be had there.

So they spent months leveling the ground, building paths up to and down from and making it beautiful to fulfill Karen's vision of where she wanted to marry the love of her life.

She wanted to keep in line with the beauty of the nature around us when we were doing the flowers. Her bouquet was inspired by a "red rose and a red gerber daisy" that she saw right next to each other in a valentine bouquet. And she said "that. that is what I want my bouquet to be."

Her bridesmaid bouquets were made out of beautiful circus roses and red hypericum berries with loops of grass.

The flowergirls were so adorable! In reds and oranges wearing chocolate brown dresses, they stole the first part of the show!

Jessica at Magnolia Grove

Jessica Bott's Southern Wedding!

Jessica's Bridal Bouquet
Tiered Cake With Rose Filled Spaces

Rosita Vendela Roses

Entrway Arrangement Filled To the Brim with Lush!

Sean met Jessica for her wedding through our friend Colby Su at C3 Design. Thanks Colby! Also a great big thanks to Jaylynn Studios for sharing their talented pictures with us.

Jessica was such a lovely bride with very chic and girly tastes. She wanted to transform her venue Magnolia Grove in Sandy into a pink southern paradise! So we took out anything silk and replaced it with fresh lush pinks, greens and whites with unique containers to create the a Gala worthy of the perfect Southern Belle.

One twist that was fun & exciting was Jessica's love of crystals for just the right amount of *bling*. So we incorporated crystal accents all throughout the wedding in personal flowers and in her reception centerpieces. Just check out her bouquet!

Thanks Jessica for including us in your beautiful wedding!
