Portland Wedding

Our designer Maria had to pack up and head out of town to attend her sister-in-law's wedding in Oregon City.  The wedding was an all-out old-fashion backwoods hoedown! Of course Maria did the flowers, so here are some of the pictures we have back from her Portland adventure.

Karen, my sister-in-law, is a really easy going girl who just wanted to have a great party for all the family flying in from across the U.S.  The wedding was on a plot of land that has been in her fiance's family for generations. But their wedding was the first to ever be had there.

So they spent months leveling the ground, building paths up to and down from and making it beautiful to fulfill Karen's vision of where she wanted to marry the love of her life.

She wanted to keep in line with the beauty of the nature around us when we were doing the flowers. Her bouquet was inspired by a "red rose and a red gerber daisy" that she saw right next to each other in a valentine bouquet. And she said "that. that is what I want my bouquet to be."

Her bridesmaid bouquets were made out of beautiful circus roses and red hypericum berries with loops of grass.

The flowergirls were so adorable! In reds and oranges wearing chocolate brown dresses, they stole the first part of the show!
